The award is granted by consumers to the most reliable OTC preparations. The voting was carried out among the readers of the magazines Dzień Dobry and Na zdrowie. Dostępne bez recepty and on the popular portal www.nazdrowie.tv. The Confidence Award “ZŁOTY OTIS” has been granted since 2004. Since its launch, the distinction has been a focus of media attention, the medical environment and patients, and it has become the most opinion-forming award on the OTC pharmaceutical market in Poland.
CALDERIN, which received the award in 2007, is a medicine with a combined effect of calcium and vitamin D3. Calcium is an indispensable mineral that is needed for the human body to work properly. It is involved in many vital processes, such as the formation and mineralisation of bones and it determines proper contractility of muscles, blood clotting, activity of hormones and normal work of the nervous system.
Indications: prophylaxis in adults and adolescents in the autumn and winter periods, prophylaxis in post-menopausal and senile osteoporosis and bone fractures, prophylaxis in osteomalacia, calcium and D3 deficiencies, increased requirement for calcium and vitamin D3 (e.g. during periods of intensive growth in children and adolescents, and during pregnancy and lactation).
